Over 3,000 people live in Dover Florida. The Town was once called Sydney,
then Cork. It became Dover in 1890. It is noted for agriculture, phosphate
mining and the packing of frozen shrimps.

The Romans called Dover 'Dubris', and the French version is Douvres. On
D-Day, in June 1944, 3rd,8th, 9th and 27th Commando units landed on the
Normandy beaches and travelled the short distance to Douvres.

Deep South State of Georgia. This charming village, without even a post
office, has a population of fewer than 200 people. Some suggest it was named
after Thomas Dover who received an early grant of land. Dover stands not far

state into the broad Atlantic Ocean.

Steeped in romantic history Dover New Hampshire was first settled by
English Colonists in 1623 and was named by one of these early settlers from
Dover, England. Known as the Garrison City it is situated on a peninsula
between two rivers and is a delightful blending of the traditional New England
background and a typical American city. Dover New Hamphire has a
population of 20,000. From its original settlement the growth of the town has
been one of exploitation of natural resources. Towards the end of the 19th
century it was a centre for textiles and shoemaking. One of the oldest of U S
newspapers Forster's Daily Democrat is published there. Events

Set in some of the most beautiful country in the USA at nine hundred feet
above sea level and is known as "the Gateway to the Muskingham Lakes". A
prosperous and progressive city with a fine balance of industrial, commercial
and agricultural activity, it has a population of just over 11,300. Incorporated
in 1842, its first mayor was Joseph Slingluff. The Indian name for the area is
Tuscarawas.
